Corsican Autonomy: "The government is proposing a change of regime," denounces Pierre Ouzoulias

The constitutional bill on the island's status, put forward by the executive, is causing a stir. The reason is the desire to enshrine the notion of "community" in stone. According to Pierre Ouzoulias, PCF vice-president of the Senate, this is an affront to the principles of the Republic.
The government persists and signs. In an interview with La Tribune on Sunday , the Minister of Regional Planning, François Rebsamen, defended the constitutional bill on Corsica's autonomy on August 3, despite numerous warnings from the Council of State.
He sees it as "a path away from violence" which "gives hope to young people who need it in the poorest region of metropolitan France." Pierre Ouzoulias, the Communist vice-president of the Senate, denounces it as an affront to the principles of the Republic.
The text recognizes Corsica as a "historical, linguistic, cultural community, having developed a unique link to its land." What do these terms inspire in you?
